Frank Callen, founder of the first Boys & Girls Club in Georgia, has been elected for the 2011 induction to the Georgia Boys & Girls Clubs Hall of Fame. The purpose of the Georgia Boys & Girls Club Hall of Fame is to celebrate the extraordinary youth, men and women who have made significant contributions to the Boys & Girls Club Movement in Georgia. Like Mr. Callen, a pioneer himself, each inductee has helped raise the standards and level of professionalism in the Boys & Girls Club Movement, while inspiring and mentoring future generations, laying the groundwork that encourages us all to strive for excellence in helping children who need us most.

Mr. Callen's selection for the Georgia Boys & Girls Clubs Hall of Fame was made by a panel of distinguished executives and leaders chosen from the ranks of retired and current Boys & Girls Club professionals, board volunteers, and alumni. . The 2011 Georgia Hall of Fame program will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2011 at the Marriott Atlanta Gwinnett Place in Duluth, Georgia.
