New Club Tech Center Dedicated
In April, The Frank Callen Boys & Girls Club dedicated the Sarah Mills Hodge Computer Technology Center. It provides seventeen state of the art computers to enhance the academic and artistic advancement of the Club members. The funding for this center was been provided by the Sarah Mills Hodge Foundation Lowe's Foundation, Publix Foundation, Cracker Barrel Foundation and IKEA. The Boys & Girls Clubs present a curriculum of Club Tech and Club Tech Art. by Boys & Girls Clubs of America and Microsoft in 2000 to technologically enable Clubs worldwide, transforming Clubs from "swim & gym" to "point
and click". By leveling the "virtual playing field", youth of all ages and circumstances have access to the same resources to help them discover their world; expand creativity; perform better in school; and eventually take their technology know-how into the workplace.
